Multiple Linkbox+ connected to a home

In large homes, ensuring complete coverage can be challenging, which may require installing multiple Linkbox+ devices throughout the residence. This is especially relevant where water leak systems and electric car chargers are placed far apart, such as when the water leak system is in the kitchen and the electric charger is in the garage on the opposite side of the house. Additionally, if you want multiple water leak systems, having several Linkbox+ units is essential since each operates as a separate water leak detection system.

Water leak

Each Linkbox+ operates as an independent system for water leak detection. If sensors connected to a specific Linkbox+ detect a leak, only the valve associated with that Linkbox+ will close. Valves connected to other Linkbox+ will not be affected and will remain open.

You can find the water leak systems by tapping on the 'Water leak' tile on the home screen, and then selecting a water leak system.

Fire alarm

To ensure that all smoke detectors in the home alert simultaneously during a fire, it is important that they are connected to the same Linkbox+. Each Linkbox+ manages fire alerts independently of other units, meaning that smoke detectors connected to different Linkbox+ units will not communicate with each other. If you desire a series connection, where all smoke detectors trigger an alarm simultaneously upon detection of smoke or fire, you must therefore connect all smoke detectors to the same Linkbox+. This ensures that all smoke detectors in the home respond to fire incidents in any part of the dwelling.

Choosing Linkbox+ When Adding New Devices:

When adding new devices and you have multiple Linkbox+ units connected to your home, it's important to choose the right Linkbox+. To ensure a stable connection, select the Linkbox+ that is closest to where the device will be placed.

• When adding a WaterSensor+: Choose the Linkbox+ that is connected to the valve you want to control in case of a water leak.
• When adding a smoke detector: For series connection, you must connect the smoke detector to the same Linkbox+ as other smoke detectors that are already connected.

Adding a Linkbox+

You can add a new Linkbox+ to your home by pressing the Menu at the bottom right (1) and then on Home (2) on the home screen.

Then select Gateways (Linkbox+)

Then press the plus sign (+) at the top right.
