When will emergency contacts be notified?
Emergency contacts is notified by SMS when a system alarm is triggered and not stopped within the given timeframe. Examples of alarms are water leakage alarms and smoke detector alarms.
System owner and household members will be immediately notified via both Abralife push-notification and SMS (in addition to physical light/sound alarm in the home) when an alarm sets off. Simultaneously, a countdown starts (the length of the countdown may vary depending on the alarm type). This countdown is displayed in the Abralife app as shown in the example below.
If system owner or household members don't stop the alarm in time, an SMS is sent to all emergency contacts.
PS! If the alarm is stopped after the emergency contacts have been notified, a new SMS will be sent with confirmation about the cancelled alarm.
Example: A water leakage alarm is triggered. The circle indicates how long the alarm have lasted (in this case 13 seconds) and when emergency contacts will be notified via SMS (in this case 47 seconds). Clicking "Clear Water Leak Alarm" before the circle is completed will prevent SMS to be sent.
