With Groups, you can easily gather multiple devices of the same type into one group and control them with a single button press. For instance, you can create a lighting group that includes dimmable bulbs, dimmer switches, colored bulbs, and other smart light bulbs. Grouping thermostats and door locks is also possible.
Create a group
To create groups, navigate to the Groups page on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Then, press the +Group button on the bottom right.
Next, choose the desired group type by pressing the dropdown arrow and selecting from the menu that appears.
The group will automatically be assigned a name, but you can change this if desired. To add devices to the group, check the box to the right of each device. If you want to include all the devices, you can check the select all box.
When you press Save at the top right, the group will be created and will be displayed on the Group page. Here, you can both delete and edit the group.
Controlling a Group
Groups can be controlled from both the Group page and Favorites.
When you click on a group from the Group page, you are taken to the Group Details page. This page provides an overview of all the devices in the group, and you can choose to control them collectively or individually. To control all devices simultaneously, press the button at the bottom of the page. For individual control, click on the respective device icons.
You can also control groups directly from favorites on the home screen. To add a group to favorites, press the plus symbol at the top right under Favorites. Then, go to the Groups tab and add to favorites by pressing the heart icon on the right. If the heart is filled, it means the group has been added as a favorite.
When you click on a group in favorites, a control panel for that particular group opens. Here, you can see all the devices in the group and can either control them collectively by pressing the button at the bottom, or individually by clicking on each device icon.
