How does Abra fire safety work?

Smoke detection from Abra alarms home members, neighbors and other important persons when smoke is detected - no matter where you and your loved ones are. 

With the optional service Trygg+ you may also be connected to a FG-approved alarm station which responds to alarms and forwards to the fire service if the situation is not clarified in time.

Abra smoke detection is designed both as a single system for privates homes and as a collective system for housing associations, multi-dwelling units and commercial buildings.

Abra use smart smoke detectors from Elko og Develco. They are installed in the home according to  current requirements and recommendations from the relevant authorities. Via wireless communication (Zigbee), the devices communicates with eachother and with Abralife. This means that if one of the devices detects smoke, all connected detectors will trigger the alarm. This ensures a loud, audible signal no matter where the home members are.

In addition to the traditional audible alarm, Abra make sure all home members are warned via their mobile phone (SMS and push-notification in Abralife). And as an extra safety measure, the system administrator can add additional emergency contacts who will also receive notifications. This could be a neighbor or another family member living nearby.

In the Abralife app, the home members have full control over the system, including battery states. If batteries are running low or there's something wrong with the system, the app will notify you.

Abra smoke detection for housing associations and multi-dwelling units

With Abra Kollektiv+ it's easy for the housing association board to comply with their duties and responsibilities concerning a functional fire protection system. The service includes the Abra portal, which offers full overview of all smoke detectors in all apartments in their respective buildings. This way, the board can see the operational status at any time. And if somethings happens - an alarm being set off, an error message or low battery warnings - notifications are provided and corrective measures can be taken.

Each apartment, and even common areas, is secured individually as described in the chapter above. In addition, the system will make sure neighbors and nearby apartments are warned (via SMS and push-notification in app) if one of the smoke detectors in an apartment sets off and is not reset with a few minutes. The desired configuration is set up in the portal.

Abra Trygg+ 

Abra Trygg+ is an optional, additional service both for private subscriptions and Abra Kollektiv+. The service ensures immediate forwarding of alarms to a FG-approved 24/7 alarm central. The central will, based on established instructions, attempt to clarify the situation, and if needed, request a call out from the relevant fire department.
