Update the sensor
If your wireless sensor is showing as Disconnected in the app, a software update may fix the issue.
Updating your WaterSensor+ can improve range and stability, and help prevent temporary or permanent disconnects.
Note: If your sensor is mounted in a bracket with constant power, it must remain in the bracket and powered during the update.
In the Abralife app:
Open the app and navigate to your Home.
Tap the Water Leak tile.
Scroll down and select the sensor you want to update.
Tap the three dots (•••) in the top-right corner → Details.
If an update is available, you’ll see an Update banner. Tap it to begin.
Important: When the app tells you to press the sensor, make sure to actually press the button on the sensor. This is required for the update to work.
Keep the app open and stay close to the sensor during the update.
Do not lock your phone or switch apps.
The update can take up to 20 minutes.
When the update finishes, tap Done in the app.
The sensor may take a little while to finalize. When it’s ready, it will blink green.
You don’t need to do anything, but pressing the button once after the green blink can help the updated status appear faster in the app.
Sensor still shows “Disconnected”?
If the sensor still appears as Disconnected after the update:
Wait a few minutes, or try pressing the button on the sensor once.
If it still doesn’t connect, you may need to remove and re-add the sensor.
To remove the sensor:
Go to the sensor → tap the three dots (•••) → Details
Tap the trash bin icon to remove it
