Are you experiencing problems with the wireless connection between your Linkbox+ and one or more wireless devices?
Here are some measures you can try:
1. Move the Linkbox+ to a more central location
Start by placing the Linkbox+ in a more central place in the home. This reduces the distance to your smart devices and minimizes obstacles such as walls and furniture. Make sure it is not located in the basement or inside metal cabinets.
2. Install a signal booster
For wireless devices that communicate over Zigbee
If moving your Linkbox+ doesn't help, you can expand your network by installing a Zigbee device that acts as a signal booster.
Examples of this are the Elko Smart thermostat or the Elko Smart light switch. These devices are fixed installations that help amplify the signal and provide better coverage to your Zigbee devices.
If it is not possible or desirable to install a fixed Zigbee product, another solution is to use a smart plug with Zigbee technology, such as Elko Smart Plug. This can be plugged into an idle plug near devices with poor coverage and will also act as a signal booster.
For WaterSensor+ that communicates over WiMEA
If you have problems connecting to safety-critical products developed by Fell, such as the WaterSensor+ water sensor, which uses our proprietary WiMEA protocol, there is a specific solution:
Buy WaterSensor+ Bracket and external power supply: When WaterSensor+ is externally powered via this bracket, it will act as a signal booster in the WiMEA network. This means that it can relay signals to and from other WaterSensor+ devices, thus improving the coverage and stability of your network.
