If you are having problems with one or more wireless devices not connecting or being reported as permanently or sporadically disconnected in the Abralife app, you can follow the tips below to improve the situation.
1. Change the location of the Linkbox+ (central unit)
If possible, start by placing the Linkbox+ in a more central location in your home. This will reduce the distance to your smart devices and minimize obstructions such as walls and furniture. Make sure it is not located in the basement or inside a metal cabinet.
PS! If you have a leak valve connected to the Linkbox+, the Cat cable will need to be replaced with a longer cable (supports 100m+)
2. Change the WIFI channel on your home network
Zigbee devices communicate over the same frequency ranges as WIFI routers, and therefore these can interfere with each other and lead to poorer connections. Linkbox+ communicates over Zigbee channel 11. If your WIFI router is set to a low channel (1-3), this can lead to interference.
The optimal channel for WIFI routers (to avoid interference with Zigbee networks) is channel 11. The article on the link below explains this in detail (NB! External link):

3. For wireless devices that communicate over Zigbee
If moving the Linkbox+ does not help, you can expand the network by installing a Zigbee device that acts as a signal amplifier.
Examples of such Zigbee devices are Elko Smart Plug, Elko smart termostat og Abra Powermate+. These devices are fixed installations that help amplify the signal and provide better coverage for your Zigbee devices.
If it is not possible or desirable to install a fixed Zigbee product, another solution is to use a smart socket with Zigbee technology, such as the Elko Smart Plug. This can be plugged into a free socket near devices with poor coverage and will also act as a signal amplifier.
PS! Fixed installations mean that the device is permanently connected to mains voltage and does not run on battery power.

4. For WaterSensor+ that communicates over WiMEA
If you are having problems connecting to safety-critical products developed by Fell, such as the WaterSensor+ water sensor, which uses our proprietary WiMEA protocol, there is a specific solution:
Buy the WaterSensor+ Bracket and External Power Supply: When the WaterSensor+ is powered externally via this bracket, it will act as a signal booster in your WiMEA network. This means it can relay signals to and from other WaterSensor+ devices, improving the coverage and stability of your network.
