Amina S is a smart EV charger that connects to the Abralife app via Linkbox+. It gives you full control of charging directly from your phone, including start/stop, status monitoring, charging speed selection, and smart energy management.
This article explains how to install the charger, connect it to the app, use its features, and perform troubleshooting or a factory reset if needed.
Installation
Assembly and Installation Procedure
The installation of the EV charger must only be carried out by qualified personnel. The installation is described in the article "Installation of Abra charging station in a private residence".
For further information on installation, see Amina's product information.
Adding Amina S EV charger to the Abralife app
Once the installation is complete and the charger is powered on, it can be connected to Linkbox+ and added to the Abralife app.
- Open the Abralife app and go to Home.
- Tap the + icon in the upper right corner.
- Select Add device and choose EV charger.
- Select Amina S from the list of available devices.
- Follow the step-by-step instructions in the app to complete the setup.
- The QR code for identifying the charger is located on the underside of the unit.
Note: Amina S automatically enters pairing mode when it receives power. The pairing window lasts up to 20 minutes, but the first 5 minutes provide the most reliable connection. If pairing fails, it is recommended to turn the power off and on via the circuit breaker, and try again within 5 minutes.
LED Indicators
The charger's LED indicators provide information about the charger's status:
- White light: The charger is connected to power but not to a car.
- Green light: A car is connected, but charging is not in progress.
- Blue light: A car is charging.
- Purple light: The charger is updating its software and cannot be used while the update is in progress.
Other light indicators may indicate errors or specific conditions. For more information about these, please refer to Amina's user manual.
Troubleshooting
If the electric vehicle charger does not function as expected, first check that it is connected to power. In case of weak signal or connection issues, try placing Linkbox+ closer to the charger to improve communication.
